How to Solder Sterling Silver Rings

Okay so on this one we’re gonna do a
general ring band. And what I’m gonna do is, I’m going to heat from underneath and
I have fluxed and I put a piece of solder right there along the seam. And what I
want to do is I want to pull that solder down through the seam. So light
up the torch and I’m going to have it underneath. I’m going to heat the entire
piece. I’m going to go in kind of slowly because I don’t want the flux to bubble
the solder right off of that band. And now I’m just going to work on just going
back and forth. You never want to keep your torch still until it flows. And
that’s it, and it should have flowed right down through the solder seam since
solder flows towards the heat, I had it underneath.
