0.1M AgNO3 Pouring silver nitrate solution into a beaker containing copper wire. Start to see solid silver form on the copper wire. Notice that the liquid is starting to look blue. The blue color is caused by copper ions dissolving in the water. Notice the long, needle-like crystals of silver. Solid silver sinks to the bottom of the beaker.
